Pharmacy Museum "Under the Black Eagle", the oldest of the existing pharmacy in Lviv, has been operating for more than two and a half centuries. This is the only one in Ukraine and Europe serving a pharmacy museum.

Pharmacy Museum was founded in 1735 by a military pharmacist. The main activities of the pharmacy was dispensing. Thus, as the pharmaceutical industry did not exist, then each pharmacy preparing for their own use extracts, tinctures, elixirs, ointments, and medicinal wines, including the famous "Iron Wine".

The pharmacy is preserved historic interior sales area pharmacies, ceiling painting, made the Viennese masters and represent the four constituent elements of the universe: fire, water, land and air.

The pharmacy also presents vintage cash registers. Here you can see a unique collection of tableware for the storage of pharmaceutical drugs - a ceramic amphora, porcelain, earthenware. A variety of mortar pharmacies - stone, iron, porcelain, brass, marble, agate.

Lviv pharmacy museum you can visit in the alchemical laboratory, cellar and a courtyard - the only facility in Lviv, where it was possible to recreate the look of a prosperous tradesman house XVI-XVII centuries.
