Museum of Weapons "Arsenal", located on the street Basement is one of the most interesting museums in the city. The building in which it is located, was built in Renaissance style in the middle of the XVI century. Initially it housed the main armory of Lviv - city arsenal. In the XVIII century in the basement of the building holding the captives, among whom were the Cossacks and Gaydamak. One of the premises was given under torture chamber.

The building is used for peaceful purposes, it posted a museum. Here is a wonderful collection, consisting of various samples of weapons and firearms.
